The most important Design Congress in the world, created by the Alliance Graphique Internationale after World War II, was held in Mexico City in 2018, coinciding with the appointment of said city as the World Capital of Design.

As every year and in a different city, AGI brought together more than 200 members at the AGI Congress, who, under a program of conferences, round tables, dance and cooking classes, visits to museums, cocktails and parties, discussed the current state and the future of design, the role of the Academy, the profession itself, and the vibrant cultural scene of the host city.
